I watched a TV show last week in which they profiled a girl cross country athlete and her parents.

The show focused on tbe goals she had set for herself, and the goals the parents expected from her and her competition. The parents had a healthy attitude towards her competitions, and basically just wanted her to do her best and try and improve.

The girl athlete had set some more specific goals and she wanted to finish in the top 10 in the cross country championships. She had goals for each meet leading up the this championship meet, and she accomplished each one of them.

When the day came for the big meet she place 7th and accomplished the goal she had set.

As the show ended she revealed her next goal. That is to be the number one runner in the state next year.

Set your goals each week- write them down- make the achievable- and mainly do the work to accomplish them.
